National IT Conference 2010 Mr. S. Ramadorai, Vice - Chairman & former CEO of Tata Consultancy Services Limited, India. Mr. Ramadorai has been associated with TCS for the past 38 years. He has been instrumental in building TCS to a $ 6 billion global software and services company with a talent base of over 140,000 associates, a geographical reach of 42 countries. In 2004 he was recognized as the "IT Man of the year" by Dataquest and Business India recognized him as the Businessman of the Year. Computer Business Review named him the 5th most Influential person in IT in 2004. Both Anna University and Sastra University conferred him with a degree of Doctor of Sciences (Honoris Causa). During 2003, Ramadorai was honoured with the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. In 2002, he was awarded with CNBC Asia Pacific's prestigious 'Asia Business Leader of the Year' Award. Sandeep Menon Country Head- Novell India/Sri Lanka, currently heads the India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan & Bangladesh operations for the Novell Corporation. He is responsible for the overall growth and profitability of the business in the region, and his responsibility spans the entire gamut of business operations. Sandeep is considered one of the pioneers of the Linux industry in the ASEAN region, having been involved with growing the open source enterprise business from its early days. Hence he also brings his experience to bear, in growing the SuSe Linux business line for Novell, across the West Asia region. In the past, Sandeep, worked for almost a decade with IBM in different capacities. He was responsible for setting up and heading IBM's Linux business division across ASEAN. Prof. Adrian David Cheok, Director, Mixed Reality Lab, Associate Professor Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore. Prof. Adrian has previously worked in real-time systems, soft computing, and embedded computing in Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Japan. He has been working on research covering mixed reality, human-computer interfaces, wearable computers and ubiquitous computing, fuzzy systems, embedded systems, power electronics. In the Mixed Reality Lab, he leads a team of over 20 researchers and students. He was awarded the Hitachi Fellowship 2003, the A-STAR Young Scientist of the Year Award 2003, and the SCS Singapore Young Professional of the Year Award 2004. He is the founding and present Chairman of the Singapore Computer Society Special Interest Group on Entertainment Computing. Saman Perera, Senior General Manager – Information Systems, Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd. Saman is responsible for overall management of information systems division and to ensure efficient, effective IT infrastructure and architecture to support demanding business requirements. Major achievements during this period include aligning the organizations information systems architecture to support technology changes from AMPS/DAMPA to GSM and 3G, architecting and deploying electronic reload system integrating with banks and distribution channels. Saman brings in over 18 years of experience in all areas of Information Technology ranging from technical to senior management. He holds MBA in Management of Technology from University of Moratuwa, Master of Science in Computer Science from University of Colombo and Bachelor of Science from University of Colombo.
